Wink Wink Ink - Pup and Boots Card

Cute Pup or What??????? This totally cute image is from Melanie at Wink Wink Ink and even though my Mum is VERY selective about dogs she likes, she does like tulips and I am sure she won't be able to resist this little pup. And while we are on the subject of being unable to resist things, you have to go and check out what Melanie has just released (and even better it is one that I requested.lol) go and have a peek at our Paper Craft Planet group (join up while you are there, we are really lovely.lol) you may have to scroll back a little as we are quite chatty some days.
I have used a total mish mash on this card.... the papers are doodle bug and SU, the flowers are from goodness knows as there is no brand on the box, the sentiment was done on Word, the image is coloured with copics and the brad is Making Memories.

Anyone For Anya - Guest Designer - Spring

My second and last card for the Guest Design spot at Anyone for Anya, this time celebrating spring. Along with the Anya image I have used "Walk in the Park" dsp from Stampin'Up, prima flowers, copics, fiskars border punch, prima pearls and a Hero Arts Sentiment.

Well the weekend is over and I am all caught up on DT stuff for a while so I got to play outside in the sunshine with the boys and get some housework done, yay for the first one not so keen on the second but it has to be done. I am always a bit sad on Monday morning even though I don't have to go back to work, I miss having Andrew around. In saying that though I am sure if he was here all day every day I wouldn't enjoy our time on the weekends as much. In fact he would probably drive me a little mad. Love him dearly but you know sometimes a little space is a GREAT thing.

I really like the image but then I was stumped on what sentiment to put on it so I thought I can use it as a notecard or something. Just Add Ink Challenge 7 - colour challenge

Whoa the colours for this challenge were HARD! Tempting Turquoise, Pink Passion, So Saffron and Green Galore.... ewwwww. Anyway a challenge is always good if it challenges you I say and this one certainly did. I have used the above mentioned colours and "Cheep Talk" stampset, which is definitly growing on me after a shaky start to our relationship. Karen's Doodles US Challenge 1

I know.... it's *B*R*I*G*H*T* , I had these papers leftover from something else I was working on and I decided to use them for the sketch challenge over at Karen's Doodles US Challenge Blog, talk about a mouthful! So obviously the image is a Karen's Doodles one, which is kind of stipulated by the fact it's for their challenge. The papers are Nana's Kids by DCWV, the sentiment is a Whiff of Joy one and of course coloured with my copics.

Angus' first day at kindy today, I got a bit teary leaving him behind this morning but Jodie and I have had a nice relaxing day which has been nice... well Jodie has slept and I have made cards and stuff, yay always fun! Off to pick the boys up shortly so it will be interesting to see how Angus and Connor faired being together at kindy, I hope Angus didn't boss Connor around too much, I think my big boy needs some assertiveness training, particually when Angus is involved. At least Connor will have Angus to stick up for him.... I have found that nearly 5 year olds get a little put out when they are beat up by 2.5 yr olds. Connor is way to passive and has been getting picked on by one of the boys at kindy so we will see what happened today.

Anyone for Anya Guest Designer - Mothers Day

I was asked to be the Guest Designer for Anyone For Anya this week. The challenge is Mother's Day so we had to make a card or project for Mum. I made this little box which I will put choccies in the box for my Mum when the day comes, our Mother's Day isn't until May, so she has a little wait yet. My Mum has seen it though as she came to visit yesterday and she always heads for our office (technical name, really MY craftroom.HA) to see what I have been working on and what cards and layouts I have made, this was on the shelf and when she spotted it she cheekily asked if one of the boys had made it for me, knowing full well my boys are far to young to know about Mothers Day and my husband never remembers.
I have used SU paper for this, it is the Red Ridinghood pack and the cardstock is Kiwi Kiss and Ridinghood Redand the sentiment is SU too. The image is my fav "Rock the Farm" Anya coloured with copics. The ribbon is real red spotted grosgrain turned over, the eyelets were put in with my cropadile and the buckle is from my stash of found stuff.

I have made the sentiment on this card using Word, the font is my fav one... Lucida Handwriting which is one that comes standard I think so no having to go find it. It reads You're Just Splashin, kinda like "You're Just Smashin". I made this card with Angus in mind, which explains all the red because he looks great in red with his white blond hair. Plus it totally reminded of this photo....

Sassy Cheryl Challenge - Green

I don't normally use this much Green in a card but I think this has turned out quite well. This is for the Sassy Cheryl Challenge which is to use green. I coloured the cute SC image with COPICS and twinkling h2os, the shoes and headband both have a touch of GLOSSY ACCENTS, the brad is from my brad stash, the green paper is from the Basic Grey LIME RICKEY collection and the red cardstock is SU.

The items in caps with links are available from i {heart} papers which is the store that "i {heart} copics" pcp group is affiliated with. In future when I post a project if the name of the product is in caps there is a link to the i {heart} papers page where it can be found.

Design Team Announcement #3

The third piece of news is that I am on the "i {heart} copics" design team!!! I know!!! My love of colouring in has finally come to fruition.lol. I am really excited to be working with such a talented team of copic lovers. You can check out our PCP group HERE and the i {heart} papers blog HERE.

This is a card I have made for an order, always a little sad when you are asked for a sympathy card. I am making up 2, one feminine and one masculine so that the lady can choose which she prefers. I have used the emboss resist technique on glossy card stock, the stamp set is "Thoughts and Prayers" from Stampin'Up.

Isn't this image just so elegant!!!!! And very cool to colour too! It is a gorgeous Wink Wink Ink image and that brings me to my 2nd exciting announcement..... I have been picked by the wonderfully talented Melanie, the owner and illustrator of Wink Wink Ink to be on her design team.... I get to work with a fantastic group of ladies and get to colour and play with these awesome images, how lucky am I!?!

Design Team Announcement #1!!!!!!

Huge week for me last week!!!!! I have been waiting to do an official announcement of my news and since I have 3 pieces of news I will do them 1 at a time. So firstly......

I have been lucky enough to be chosen to be on the Design Team for BUTTERFLY CRAFTS BLOG.

Butterfly Crafts is run by Karen from the UK and every fortnight a new challenge is issued. I am on the "Written" team, which is recipes, colour combos etc. There is also a "Visual" team which get challenges based on photos, sketches etc. Cool huh??? You can also join our forum which is a cool place to hang out, go check it out HERE

Now onto my card..... you may be thinking "HMMMMM dejavu going on here!" well I decided to have a little play with distress inks on plain and watercolour paper and also try the copic as distress inks thing which Suzanne Dean has done a tutorial on over on YouTube. So I am using up the coloured images, this is the one on plain white cardstock with distress inks. The papers and buttons are Cosmo Cricket "Material Girl" and the sentiment and ribbon are SU.

I have used the sketch from over at GET SKETCHY for this card and also added some Green as asked for over at the Pink Elephant Challenge blog

Baby Blossom for "i {heart} copics" PCP challenge

I love this Wink Wink Ink image.... Baby Blossom is gorgeous. This time I have coloured the image with pink (yes Viv I know!!!). I have followed Jana's sketch from over at the "i {heart} copics" papercraft planet page challenge #3.

And I know I seem to be obsessed with babies and pink at the moment but it probably has something to do with my own baby blossom Jodie.....

I managed to catch a picture of her smiling so I thought I would share it with you. Jodie is 9 weeks now, time has really flown. And I was looking at her new born pics last night and it is amazing how fast her hair is growing!

I have found a substitute for my beloved Cosmo Cricket "Early Bird", it's one of CCs newer lines called "Garden Variety", it hasn't got cherries but it has got strawberries which are nearly as good. I have used distress inks to colour this image on watercolour paper, I wish I hadn't used my white pen on this image, it has kind of ruined it.

Oh and why the title of this post???? Well while I was making this card last night I was virtual cardmaking with TRACE, we had skype on so we could talk, bounce ideas off each other and well just generally gossip it was so much fun. And earlier yesterday I talked to JANA who is in Kodiak, Alaska!!! I am so stoked because I don't usually get to play with other scrapbookers or cardies and I don't feel like my hobby is some sort of freakish phenomenon and I should be doing a sensible hobby like playing squash or dodge ball.lol.

No particular reason for making this card other than I really wanted to make a card using this image, oh and try my hand at "colouring" something white with my copics. This image is from Karen's Doodles and is another digi image.

My tooth is all better toady, I did end up getting it pulled so i guess I cant really say my tooth is better, more like my mouth is better.

Such a gorgeous day here, so really short post because I should be out enjoying the sun while it's still here.

My adorable baby's first photo at the hospital. I thought I better do a layout of all her important birth info and it had to be flat as the next layout in her album is really "out there" with loads of stick out stuff. So this is what I came up with.
It is SO early in the morning here, my kids aren't even up.... I am waiting for the dentist to open so I can ring him to get a tooth out that is giving me the worst toothache, oh and did I mention it is only 5.20am and I have already been up for 2 hours. I went to see the dentist yesterday as my tooth was a "little" sore and he found an abcese and drained it, pulled the filling out, packed it and then said it may be a little sore tomorrow morning if it is ring me and I will pull it out (the tooth is dead anyway and it's at the back) OMG it started THROBBING at 10.00pm last night and hass progressively got worse, I have even cracked out the hidden stash of superstrength codine (not good for Jodie, so doing the pump and dump) and I can still feel the throbbing although not quite as bad. I never in my life been excited to go to the dentis... however this morning, try holding me back!!!!

I love this cute little horse, he is a digi image from Wink Wink Ink, so adorable!!!!! I have used the sketch from over at the Pink Elephant Challenge for this card which is an extremely belated Birthday card for my SIL. The papers are Cosmo Cricket "Material Girl" and the (CUTSEY)image is coloured with copics... right well that's me for the night, it's 11.15pm and no doubt I will have a lovely little lady wanting my attention in a couple of hours. Happy Saturday!!!!!! What a gorgeous day here.... I have been into the garden shop this morning and purchased some pretty new (pink) plants for my garden and now I am itching to get out and get the garden prepped and the plants planted. I thought I would post this while I wait for Lyzzy Lou to settle and fall asleep. I have made this for this weeks Just Add Ink challenge, the theme is "Dimension". I am hoping I interpreted right with all the blingy sticky outty stuff on my gift box. The template came from Papertrey Ink and is a "Timeless Template" by Lauren Meader. The papers are Rasberry Tart; cardstock and ribbon Pink Pirrouette; Pretties kit pearls, beads and hatpin; Styled silver hodgepodge frame, button bouquet button. River Rock and Cameo Coral inkpads.

Jodies MDF Birdhouse - Pink Elephant #54

I made this cute little birdhouse for Jodie's room. I thought she could hang necklaces etc from the little hooks on the bottom. I have linked this for this weeks Pink Elephant Challenge, which is to use ribbon and also this weeks Copic Colour Challenge.
This is a KaiserCraft OTP Birdhouse which I have decorated using the following..... papers from My Minds eye and Imaginisce, the little girl images are digis from All that Scraps, the bird is a Snag em stamp, the letter stickers are Heidi Grace, the ribbon is American Crafts and the paint and pearls are KaiserCraft. I am so stoked with how this has turned out, it is so pretty and girly. I am getting a total kick out of now being able to make pretty stuff.

Edited to add..... I have added some more pics, they aren't the best quality but they show the size of this so you know it isn't a card, because as you can see on the comments acouple of people thought it was when I only had the one picture.
